Enrollment process:
- Sturgis Charter Public School provides an enrollment period for Grade 9 & 10 applicants. We are not able to accept students in the 11th or 12th grade.
- A complete Application with 2 essays and Registration form to be submitted by the end of the enrollment period. The forms can be downloaded and, either mailed or hand delivered to Sturgis. No applications can be accepted before the enrollment period begins. No additional information (teacher recommendations, test scores, etc) is necessary.
- Student and parent/guardian must attend one Information Session or, if that is not possible, arrange a private meeting with the Executive Director. You do not need to pre-register to attend an Information Session.
- OPTIONAL- Prospective students may spend a morning shadowing at Sturgis. To arrange a shadow appointment, the parent/guardian should call the main office, 508-778-1782 from 8:30-3:30, Monday through Friday. Students generally stay for three class periods. They are asked to arrive at 8:10 and will be done at 11:45. Students must report to the main office and bring a note from home that gives them permission to be here, with a phone number where a parent/guardian can be reached if necessary.
Lottery:
If we collect more applications than we have spaces available, we go into lottery. For details on the lottery process, please view our Enrollment Policy.
